David Farrar is the founder of Farrar Lawyers and a solicitor in New South Wales having been admitted in 1999 appearing in all courts of Federal jurisdictions.

David’s experience is broad and varied within the commercial field, from advising insurers in relation to professional indemnity and directors’ and officers’ liability claims, to acting for insolvency practitioners in a variety of administrations, both corporate and personal.
Experience
Prior to establishing Farrar Lawyers, David was employed as a senior associate at two of Australia’s top tier law firms and as a Partner heading up the Insolvency and Reconstruction Divisions at two boutique practices in Sydney.
David has extensive experience in all areas of commercial law with a particular interest in insolvency and reconstruction. David regularly acts for trustees in bankruptcy and registered liquidators (acting in various capacities) as well as leading financiers and multinational companies. David also acts for debtors and bankrupts, as well as company directors, in defence of actions by trustees and liquidators, and is therefore in a unique position to advise from a well rounded perspective.
David enjoys undertaking much of his own advocacy and regularly conducts public examinations of directors and other persons of interest in the Supreme and Federal Courts.
David is a full member of the New South Wales Law Society and Insolvency Practitioners Australia.

Diploma in Advanced Insolvency Law and Practice II – University of Southern Queensland.
